HSC English Workshop: The Merchant of Venice | Sexta, 10. Julho 2020

Since the commencement of the new HSC English syllabus, Ignite has developed the most comprehensive, skills-based English program in New South Wales. Ignite's interactive, results-driven workshops have assisted over 500 students improve both their marks and confidence in English, focussing solely on the practical elements necessary to achieve high band 6 outcomes.

Ignite's upcoming Texts and Human Experiences workshop is on Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice . Over the course of the day, Ignite's most experienced presenters, Jonny and Leila, will take students through an intensive crash-course that covers all of the essay requirements in order to help each student achieve their best mark. This is particularly important at this stage of the year, as students will be required to complete an essay (without a related text) as part of their HSC trials and final exams.

Key aspects of the workshop include:

- Context, form and themes

- Close analysis

- Essay writing, including structure and question adaptation

The workshop has a heavy focus on practical exercises, all of which are 100% relevant to the final drafts that students will learn for the HSC. Ignite prides itself on its lessons in question adaptation, weaving exercises and examples throughout the day that relate to adapting to different types of questions and stimuli.

EVERYTHING we teach will be coming from the frame of: How would you actually use this in an essay? In what parts of the essay would this be relevant? What would this actually look like in a sentence?

Please do not miss out on this rare opportunity to drastically improve the quality of your writing!
