NEV-DC Mentoring Program | World Wide | Quinta, 04. Julho 2013

The Nevisian Association of Washington DC (NEV-DC) Mentorship Program seeks to provide prospective mentees with an opportunity to gain valuable career guidance and a framework for career planning through a one-on-one partnership with a seasoned professional.
Mentoring is a valuable strategy to provide students with the emotional and instrumental support students need to achieve the goal of a college degree. By providing information, guidance, and encouragement, mentors can play an important role in nurturing students’college aspirations, helping them prepare for their careers.
NEV-DC Mentors will provide potential mentees/students with important information about college preparatory courses, financial aid and internships.
Dr. Gilbert Daniel successfully mentored Kyndra “Monique” Liburd, the 2007 St. Kitts- Nevis States Scholar for Caribbean Examinations Council’s Caribbean Advance Proficiency Examinations (CAPE). She did her internship with Dr. Daniel at his Medical Practice Accent on Health, LLC in Washington, DC. Currently, Ms. Liburd is  enrolled in medical school in pursuit of her academic dream to become a Medical Doctor.
Mentoring will help mentees develop skills and behaviors necessary to succeed professionally.
